60 of Trump’s Policy Proposals

These are just 60 of Trump’s policy proposals over the last year. Trump has also suggested just printing money Weimar style to pay off the debt.

If you like the “lesser” evil, why don’t you LOVE the greater evil? If you like Trump you ought to love Hillary.

A vote for either is a vote to destroy what is left of this country.

“We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason.” – Edward R. Murrow

On the afternoon of September 11, 2001, I received what would turn out to be a most prophetic email from an old friend in Arizona. The subject line read “They want you to panic”. The body of the email began with “….so don’t”.

It is bad enough that, in the aftermath of Sunday morning’s carnage at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, so many politicians and pundits are so hell bent on scaring the smack out of the rest of us. It is even worse that so many people are giving in to such fearmongering.

The elites on the left want more gun control … and the rank-and-file left is more than happy to jump on board. The elites on the right want to fan the flames of Islamophobia … and the rank-and-file right is more than happy to jump on board.

By all means, mourn the dead, pray for the injured and dying and extend your thoughts, prayers and condolences to all affected by this most horrific crime. But in the name of all that is sacred – and much that is profane – do not allow yourself to be conned, manipulated and just plain USED into giving up what remains of your personal liberty out of baseless fear.

Fear is not always a bad thing. But it has to be grounded in reality.

  • The left wants us to fear guns. The right wants us to fear immigrants and Islam. The truth of the matter is that even though there are more guns, immigrants and Muslims than ever in America, violent crime rates are off by almost half in the last 20 years. Yet when, there is a mass shooting the left FREAKS OUT and demands that we give up our guns. And when there is a terrorist attack the right FREAKS OUT and demands that we give up the rest of our liberties.
  • Yes, America leads the world in gun ownership. And yet dozens of countries have higher homicide rates than we do. There is simply no correlation between gun ownership and violent crime.
  • And for those of you who would ban “assault weapons”, thus leaving Uncle Sam with a monopoly on them, I’ll just leave this picture here.

  • Your actual chances of dying in a terrorist attack are, just like your chances of dying in a mass shooting, microscopic. Even in 2001, about 2 million Americans died from various causes. This means that 1,997,000 died of something other than terrorism. Just how much liberty will you give up in order to be “safe”?
  • If you think that by “terrorist”, Uncle Sam means just scary looking guys with names like Abdul and Rahim, think again. 72 groups of people are named in various federal documents as potential terrorists. Just about anyone could fit into one or more of these categories.
  • It has been several centuries since a Muslim country conquered a non-Muslim country. The 9/11 hijackers, the San Bernardino killers and Omar Mateen, the accused Orlando killer, are all dead. You can’t take over a country, impose Sharia law, force everyone to speak Arabic and convert everyone to Islam when you are … I’ll say it one more time … DEAD!!!
  • If Hyman Lipschitz set off a bomb in a church killing 50 Christians and injuring 53 more, would that be any less horrific than what happened early Sunday morning in Orlando? Let me help you out here: NO! Murder is murder, regardless of the implements used and the demographics of the murderer and his victims.
  • And then there is this.okc meme
  • And, as with every show stopping event, you MUST ask if we are getting the full truth. Don’t believe every conspiracy theory you read and don’t believe everything in the mainstream media. Do your own research as well as your own thinking. If you disagree with me that is FINE! Just don’t be anyone’s tool! Could one person have fired off enough rounds with one weapon without taking time to reload? And what about  eyewitness accounts of multiple shooters? And does a militant radicalized jihadi consume alcohol regularly at a gay bar? There are several other reasons to doubt the official story.
  • An omnipotent government is always more to be feared than any individual or small group thereof. Omar Mateen had two hands; the state has millions of hands. And to give up all your rights, or to force others to give up theirs in the name of some Higher Good, is to leave yourself defenseless against the one thing that has killed more people throughout history than any other.

nazi camp

  • And if you are naïve enough to think that “it can’t happen here”, just look around. America has the world’s highest incarceration rate, widespread warrantless surveillance, sexual molestation as a condition of travel (something neither the Nazis nor the Communists ever did), rampant police brutality and indefinite detention without due process. And consider the freedoms the American people have given away since the early 1980s. Uncle Sam only took them away because we gave them away – overwhelmingly in every election.trump hillary cnn

Our Constitution establishes an intricate set of firewalls against tyranny. It protects unpopular words, unpopular deeds and unpopular people. However, it does not enforce itself. If “we the people” do not stand firm when the rights of others are threatened, even people we may not like, we have zero business complaining when our own rights are threatened.

To quote Sir Thomas More in A Man for All Seasons, “What would you do? Cut a great road through the law to get after the Devil? … And when the last law was down, and the Devil turned round on you – where would you hide, Roper, the laws all being flat? This country is planted thick with laws from coast to coast, Man’s laws, not God’s, and if you cut them down — and you’re just the man to do it — do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes, I give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety’s sake!”

An absolutely unspeakable crime was committed at the Pulse nightclub. If you would disregard all constitutional protections in order to “go after” the perps, don’t complain when there are no protections in place when someone wants to “go after” you. When these firewalls are eliminated, and the infernos of tyranny rage, will you, reader, be able to withstand being burned alive?

Is Gary Johnson a libertarian?

Yes, Gary Johnson is the Libertarian Party nominee for President. And yes, I cast a lukewarm vote for him for president in 2012. While he certainly understands that the most awesome constitutional power the executive has is that of the veto, we really need to ask how truly libertarian is he?

I’ll leave this article here and let you decide.

He does have some upsides – the veto pen, legal marijuana, far less foreign intervention. However, it would have been nice for the Libertarians to actually nominate a libertarian.

Is the Constitution an Enemy of Liberty?

I still maintain that truly constitutional government would be immeasurably better than anything we have experienced in the last century in America.

Even so, here is a thought-provoking conversation between Tom Woods and Sheldon Richman on how the Constitution greatly centralized power over anything that had been allowed by the Articles of Confederation.

The Idolatry of the Donald

In 2000, GWBush said ONE THING about Jesus ONE TIME and millions of Churchians were just GOOGLY over him for the next eight years, even though there was precious little fruit of the spirit in his life. Comes now Der Donald, and millions of Churchians are just as GOOGLY about him, even though there is even less spiritual fruit in his life.

II Timothy 4:2-4 prophesied such a time. Great article about this right here.

Why WOULDN’T Trump Also Build a Wall Along the Canadian Border?

think its not illegal yet

This just might constitute torture for some of you.

I am asking you to think.

Just like anything else the government does, Donald Trump’s proposed wall along the Mexican border is rife with unintended consequences. The very same wall that would prevent people from entering illegally, could just as easily be used to keep the American people from leaving. And if he would build such a wall along the Mexican border, why wouldn’t he also build a wall along the Canadian border?

Just recently, Trump “doubled down” on his call to slow Muslim immigration. And right after the mass killings in San Bernardino last December, Trump called for a “total and complete shutdown” of Muslim immigration to the United States.

Well, couldn’t Muslims enter the U.S. from Canada? And if Mexican immigration justifies building a wall on the southern border, why wouldn’t Muslim immigration issues justify building a wall on the northern border with Canada? And couldn’t such a wall possibly be used at some point in the future to keep the American people from leaving?

And Trump has also now threatened “very, very serious consequences” for corporations that would leave America. “We’re not going to let companies leave”, he says. So how would Der Donald actually enforce that? Perhaps he would shut down the coastlines as well.

Again, think!

Tyranny (1) always comes from someone’s noble intention, (2) always grows bigger and uglier with time and (3) always creates far greater problems than it solves. Trump’s proposals for trade, immigration and border control are no exception.

The Suicide of Venezuela

This has been happening in America for decades. It all started long before anyone heard of Obama.

However, in our hubris, we refuse to learn from other nations. We persist in thinking that “it can’t happen here.” Oh yes it can!

Why Do So Many Christians and Libertarians Support Donald Trump?

By Doug Newman – email me here.

Back in January, Donald Trump stated, “I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters.”

I am reminded of this whenever I contemplate the large numbers of Christians and libertarians who support Donald Trump’s presidential candidacy.

Jesus commanded His followers to observe the fruit people bear – Matthew 7:20. Let us consider the fruit on Trump’s tree.

  • He is on his third marriage.
  • He is a known adulterer who brags about the women he has slept with.
  • He owns a strip club.
  • He does not see the need to repent of any wrongdoing.
  • Would any self-respecting Christian man let this lecher within 1000 feet of his wife or daughter?

I could go on.

And, as always, whether or not Trump is a Christian is between Him and God. But where is there any fruit of the Holy Spirit in Trump’s life?

And why do so many libertarians support Trump’s bid for the White House?

Again, I could go on.

clintons trumps wapo

But, but, but … h-h-he’s gonna stick it to the Establishment.

What would that look like in the real world?

In 2008 and 2012, there was a candidate with an impeccable decades-long record of voting in accordance with the Constitution for severely limited government and sound money and against the welfare-warfare-police state. And the establishment – both left and right – shunned him.

Trump, on the other hand, has been the object of endless media attention ever since the early 1980s. The same media that acted as if Ron Paul did not so much as even exist has made Donald Trump one of the most famous people in America. If Trump were truly a threat to the status quo, the mainstream media would be giving him the Ron Paul treatment.ron paul Christian

Ron Paul’s campaign was not about Ron Paul the man, but rather about principles of individual liberty and strict adherence to the limits set on government by the Constitution. It was not about “putting the right people in office” so that they could “run the country” and “fix things”. Paul sought to preside over the executive branch of a constitutional republic, whereas Trump aspires to be a dictator.

And almost no one is asking: what if Trump can’t get his agenda through Congress?

Are so many people so desperate for quick fixes by a “great leader” that they will abandon all caution and prudence? In the Old Testament – I Samuel 8:4-20 – God warned the children of Israel about the dangers of an earthly king. Libertarians say they support the Zero Aggression Principle and that they don’t want an all-powerful central government, and yet many will gladly cede power to Trump.

I know, I know, I know Trump is not Hillary or Bernie. However, the “lesser evil” – if that is even what Trump is – is still evil. If you like the lesser evil, why don’t you love the greater evil?

And if you are a Christian who insists on supporting the “lesser evil” again and again, you have no business complaining that so much evil is so rampant in society.
