Hemp isn’t illegal because it “gets you stoned.”* It is illegal because it threatens so many industries – pharmaceuticals, cotton, paper, petroleum, concrete, lumber, food, clothing and numerous others.

* And even though certain kinds of hemp goof up your brain for a few hours, they are far more benign than alcohol or most pharmaceuticals.
My name is Doug Newman. I live in Aurora, Colorado, just outside Denver. Food for the Thinkers is mostly about the connection between Christianity and libertarianism. Most Christians do not understand libertarianism. And most libertarians do not understand Christianity. Hopefully, this blog helps clear up those misunderstanding.

And remember: When you let people do whatever they want, you get Woodstock. But when you let governments do whatever they want, you get Auschwitz.
Hemp is not a threat to modern industry. China is a big hemp grower in it does replace the industries that she mentions toward the end of the video. Just because an industry campaigned to make it illegal does not mean it is still the treat to them or even the they were right to see it as a threat in the first place.
I want to express thanks to you for rescuing me from such a crisis. After surfing around throughout the search engines and seeing principles that were not productive, I believed my life was well over. Living without the presence of solutions to the issues you’ve sorted out through your main posting is a critical case, and ones which might have badly affected my career if I had not discovered your blog post. Your primary competence and kindness in touching all areas was tremendous. I don’t know what I would’ve done if I had not encountered such a thing like this. I can at this moment relish my future. Thanks very much for your reliable and results-oriented guide. I will not be reluctant to recommend your web page to any person who would like assistance on this situation
Hey Doug:
Can you give a link for that video ?
For some reason, my browser (Chromium on Linux) won’t display the video (it’s just a blank window).
With a link, I may be able to go to the original page & watch it.
Thanks !
