I’m Over It

My response to someone on Team Lockdown today who tried to guilt trip me about my opposition to mask mandates. This was totally the product of stream of consciousness.

I am terribly sorry about anyone who has died of covid or has lost someone to covid. Yes, I have lost 2 people I knew casually.

However, there is no evidence that any of the lockdowns, masks, etc etc etc have stopped any of this.

If allowing people to live like normal human beings means death, Florida would have several times the body count of NJ or NY. In reality, they are 26th in deaths per million. TX is 24th in DPM.

And Sweden is #33 of all countries in DPM. Why don’t they lead the world?

Peru ran a vicious lockdown and has far higher DPM than Sweden.

In the grand scheme of things, my PTSD challenges and the attacks are minor. However, I have several friends who simply cannot medically tolerate wearing a mask.

The human body is designed to inhale & exhale a certain level of oxygen with each breath. Masks interfere with this – wearing them all day every day cannot be healthy.

And don’t get me going on the depression, suicide, drug addiction, bankruptcies, business failures, and unemployment that resulted from the lockdowns.

You can’t slam the brakes on society like this and expect that there will be no unintended consequences, or that people won’t resist.

If anyone has been reckless & irresponsible, it is Fauci, Gates, Cuomo & the rest of them. And don’t even get me going on the vax. Most vax take 3-5 years to get to market. This was ramrodded through in 6-9 months.

And then there is social distancing. On the 1 hand they have to shove something up your nose to see if you have it. On the other hand they tell you to keep 6 feet distance. Why can’t they wave a device within 6 feet of you to see if you are sick?

I’m done with all of it.

The control.

The lockdowns.

The masks.

The social distancing.

The verbal & mental abuse.

The vaccines.

The fear, the fear, the fear that is constantly being pumped out 247.

The bullying.

The incivility.

The rudeness.

The guilt trips.

I’m done.

And there has never been any evidence that any of this has worked.

Again, why doesn’t FL has 10x the fatalities as NJ or NY? And why aren’t dead bodies piled up everywhere in Sweden and Florida?

And why didn’t Walmart & grocery workers die en masse because of covid? They were around lots of people every day. And if you’ll remember a year ago, almost nobody was wearing masks.

And why isn’t it mandatory to dispose of masks in special Hazmat bins?

I also lost 4 friends to cancer last fall – all were under 65. We have known for years that much of our cancers are behaviorally induced. If reordering human life is The Answer to covid, why don’t we fight cancer just as aggressively? And what about heart disease & diabetes?

Again: I am done with all the bullying & guilt tripping & fearmongering from people who absolutely insist that Fauci, Gates, Cuomo, etc know what is best for all of us and that anyone who dares question any of it wants grandma to die.

Just because Problem X exists doesn’t mean that Solution Y, as promoted by the government, media & corporate elites is The Answer, and that anybody who dares question any of it wants people to die or doesn’t value human life.

And if you support mask mandates, you own this.

About Food for the Thinkers

My name is Doug Newman. I live in Aurora, Colorado, just outside Denver. Food for the Thinkers is mostly about the connection between Christianity and libertarianism. Most Christians do not understand libertarianism. And most libertarians do not understand Christianity. Hopefully, this blog helps clear up those misunderstanding. Check out my old page at www.thefot.us And remember: When you let people do whatever they want, you get Woodstock. But when you let governments do whatever they want, you get Auschwitz.

Well said, as usual. A lot of people have had their fill of the nonsense, but in Canada the rulers are pushing it harder than ever.
