Why is individual liberty absolutely essential in the age of covid?

When people are free, they can keep the fruits of their labor. This gives them a reason to work and dream and invent and create. They have a reason to grow potatoes and invent lightbulbs and smartphones and life-saving and life-prolonging medical procedures and devices.

The more that people work and dream and invent and create, the wealthier they become.

People in wealthy countries live longer than people in poor countries. People live longer in Switzerland than in Chad. Japan leads the world in life expectancy, while the Central African Republic is last.

Do you really want to save lives? End the lockdowns, mask mandates and every other aspect of the flu d’etat. And let people be free again.
