On Friday, Hillary Clinton tweeted that America is a democracy. On Sunday, Donald Trump tweeted that America is a democracy. Uh, excuse me, but if America were a democracy, Hillary would be president.
Hillary sports a law degree from Yale. Trump just swore an oath to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution”. Neither would recognize the Constitution if it landed on their head in the form of a 16-ton weight.

While I agree with your conclusion that both individuals have warped or stunted views of the Constitution, it is worth pointing out that referencing ‘democracy’ as the TYPE of government America utilizes is correct, although when discussing the FORM of government employed, ‘republic’ would be a more accurate term.
