“Conservatives use ‘patriotic correctness’ to regulate speech, behavior and acceptable opinions.” This is from a wonderful article by Cato’s Alex Nowrasteh.
I would add two things to this article:
- In addition to cops and border patrol agents, the patriotically correct deify military personnel and consider it treason to so much ask a question about the U.S. military.
- The patriotically correct believe the War on Drugs is some sort of divine undertaking.
